Bonitron’s line of M3452 Braking Modules continues to expand and improve. With models rated up to 2400hp, Bonitron remains a leader in the field of high horsepower braking and maintains its reputation for durability and reliability in all industries.

Braking transistor and braking resistor modules are used with AC drives to eliminate overvoltage faults. These modules permit controlled AC drive braking and dramatically shorten motor stopping time. The M3452 is used with drives that have inadequate or no internal braking transistor and works with any brand’s AC drives.  The unit also monitors the drive DC bus levels and controls an IGBT power switch connected to a separate resistive load for dissipating the regenerated energy.

For high duty or overhauling loads, the Bonitron M3452 has the continuous rating to allow for braking in the megawatts! Parallel units can be added for increased capacity. The unit’s advanced diagnostics allow for remote monitoring, and local indicators can pinpoint the cause of each fault without diagnostic equipment. This remote configuration adds to the flexibility and reliability of your overall system.
